With the change of the season comes a change of the menu

SPRING A warm breeze from the sea signals the coming of spring. The most popular item on our spring menu has to be our fresh abalone. The abalone is tender and full of vitamin E. People believe they prevent aging and are a blessing for the skin.

SUMMER After spending the day at the beach come back to a feast of sushi, fresh seasfood and more. From August 2nd to mid August take your pick of your favorites from our summer buffet.

AUTUMN Beautiful fall colored mountains compliment our dishes of matsutake, a mushroom with a unique spice found in the nearby mountains, and beautifully marbleized high grade beef from the prized Japanese Black cattle.

WINTER Every winter we look forward to the start of our crab season. The cold waters of the Japan Sea provide us with our crab dishes. These plump crabs are delicous whether grilled, boiled or fried.

The "Beauty Springs"

Natural spring waters leave your skin feeling younger

The rejuvenating waters that fill our spa baths is from a natural spring located along the sandy shores in Yuhigaura hot springs. Excavation of the well began in 1980 by nine of the local inns of the time, and took 2 years to complete. Today Kasyouen pumps the fresh hot spring water in for the baths at a rate of 600 liters per minute.

	The spring water contains hypotonic alkaline, hydrogen sulfide & protein, these leave the skin feeling smooth and soft. The bath waters are kept at 42°c, the same temperature at it's source.
	The spring waters have been known to help the following ailments: Nerve pain, muscle ache, joint ache, frozen shoulder, motor paralysis, contusion, chronic digestive diseases, hemorrhoid, cold sensitivity, recovery from illness, soothing effect, health enhancement, cut, burn injury and chronic skin diseases
	Anyone with any of the following are restricted from entering the baths: Acute diseases, tuberculosis, malignant tumor, serious cardiac diseases, respiration failure, dysfunction of kidneys, bleeding, serious anemia, and pregnancy (particularly, first and last pregnancy trimester)

Here at Kasyouen all of our rooms are outfited as suit rooms.
All rooms come with a western style sleeping area with two double-sized beds and a Japanese style room. The Japanese style room has traditional tatami(straw matting) and a low table with seating. This area is used to serve our guests their dinner right in their room. The dinners are a banquet style.
From the sleeping area guests are treated to sweeping views of the sea and beautiful sunsets.
